Using Hoop

Hoop is a birthday-invitation app for iPhone, made by Sercan Toprak(sole proprietor) in Istanbul, Türkiye. By downloading, opening, or using Hoop you agree to these terms. You confirm that you are at least 18 years old and that, when you use Hoop on behalf of a child, you are that child's parent or legal guardian. If any of that is not true, please don't use the app.

What Hoop does

Hoop turns your party details (kid's name, age, date, venue) into a printable / shareable digital birthday invitation, using AI image generation in one of six languages (English, Turkish, German, Spanish, French, Arabic). It also tracks birthdays you save in the app and sends optional reminders. There's a Studio mode where you can describe a custom invitation in your own words.

Credits and subscriptions

Hoop is free to download. Generating an invitation uses credits. You start with a small grant on first launch; after that you can buy more two ways:

• Credit packs — one-off purchases. Credits do not expire while your account is active.
• Hoop Pro subscription — recurring access to a monthly or weekly credit allowance, plus premium templates. Pricing is shown in the app at the moment of purchase, in your local currency, and may differ across countries. Subscriptions auto-renewat the same price unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the renewal date in your Apple ID settings (Settings › Apple ID › Subscriptions).

All payments and refunds are processed by Apple under the App Store's standard policies. Hoop does not see, store, or charge your card. Refund requests should be made through the App Store: reportaproblem.apple.com.

AI-generated content

The invitations Hoop produces are created by an AI image model based on the prompt you supply (theme + details, or your custom Studio description). A few honest things to know:

• The AI is not perfect.It may misspell a word, render a venue line awkwardly, or produce something off-tone. If this happens, regenerate or fall back to a different theme — you won't be charged twice for the same generation if it outright fails.
• Originality is best-effort. Two users with similar inputs may, on rare occasions, get visually similar results.
• You own what you create for personal, non-commercial use — share it freely with family and friends, print it, post it. You may not resell Hoop-generated invitations or use them in commercial campaigns.
• Review before sharing. You are responsible for checking that the names, dates, and venue you typed actually appear correctly on the rendered invitation before you forward it.

Acceptable use

You agree not to use Hoop to:

• generate content that is harmful, hateful, sexually explicit, or depicts real people (especially children) without their or their guardian's permission;
• depict identifiable real-world brand characters, copyrighted mascots, or trademarks (we filter known prompts, but the responsibility ultimately rests with you);
• resell, sublicense, or commercialize the invitations or the service itself;
• reverse-engineer, scrape, or automate the service (e.g. bot-driven credit farming, fake account creation);
• misuse the moderation system to bypass safety filters.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate any of the above, and refuse refunds in cases of clear abuse.

Intellectual property

The Hoop name, logo, app design, and curated template catalog are the property of Sercan Toprak. The AI-generated invitations rendered for your account are licensed to you for personal use as described above. Custom prompts you write in Studio mode remain yours; we don't claim ownership of your text.

Disclaimers and limits

Hoop is provided as-is and as-available. We work hard to keep it reliable, but we don't promise it'll be uninterrupted, error-free, or fit for a specific purpose. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim relating to your use of Hoop is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid Hoop in the twelve months before the claim arose, or (b) ten US dollars. We're not liable for incidental, consequential, indirect, or punitive damages.

Privacy

How we handle your data is described in our Privacy policy. Using Hoop means you've read and accept that policy as well.

Account termination

You can delete your Hoop account at any time from Profile › Delete account. We may terminate or restrict access to the service for material breach of these terms, fraud, or to comply with the law. After termination, the limits and disclaimers above survive.

Changes to these terms

We update these terms occasionally. For material changes (new fees, new restrictions, or reduced rights), we'll notify you in-app and by email at least 14 days before the change takes effect.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute arising from these terms or the use of Hoop is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Istanbul Anadolu courts and enforcement offices, unless mandatory consumer-protection statutes in your country of residence give you a different forum.
